Vintage Fan Quilt

This top now has both a stop border and the final border and tonight it went on the longarm and I began to quilt it.
Started on the border with a feather and haven't yet decided what to do in the fans.
 I tried SID [Stitch In the Ditch] and didn't like it, maybe mini feathers?

What a beautiful quilt. I'm sure you will find just the right pattern for the fan blades.
